Obituary for Claire H. Megnin
Claire Megnin, 99, passed away Saturday at Menorah Park. Claire was the daughter of the late Leona and Arthur Hossbein of Kirkville and graduated from Fayetteville High School. She was a member of the Kirkville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed square dancing and round dancing for 25 years.
Claire played piano and organ on occasion for Church and much earlier taught Sunday School. She also enjoyed playing piano with her Dad.
She was first married to William O. Wilcox, who died in 1982 and in 2001 married Volkmar Megnin who died in 2016.
She is survived by a daughter, Kay (Dr. Tom) Leininger; a son, Bruce (Barbara) Wilcox; grandson, Thomas (Dr. Katrena) Leininger; two great-grandchildren, Marshall and Alex; nieces, Deanna Johnston, Suzanne Greiner and Lori Bodley; nephews, Dwight and David Chapman; step-children, Robert Megnin, Mary Forgenie, Elizabeth Neal and Kathleen Millay.
Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
