Charles J. Brooks, 98, of East Syracuse, passed away November 26. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marcia Wilsey Brooks. Charlie served in the US Army as a Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division during WWII. He retired from NY Central Railroad as a diesel mechanic and was an active member of the Golden Age in Minoa.
Surviving are his two daughters, Rebbeca Snow of N. Syracuse and Carol Kemp of FL; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday, December 3 at St. Mary’s Church, 401 N. Main St., Minoa. The burial will follow at Pine Plains Cemetery in North Manlius.
