I remember when Elaine first transferred to East Syracuse High School. I believe she was afraid that she would not make friends and fit in. That was not the case, she made several friends that lasted her a life time. I was privileged to be one of them. In the last few years, I only saw her at our class reunion and heard from her at Christmas time. She will be missed by many friends like me.

To the Fenchel Family,

I worked with Elaine for a time in Onondaga County Family Court and I wanted you all to know that I will always remember how kind she was to me when I started there. Elaine always had a smile on her face and was the only employee who made me feel welcomed.

I am so sorry for your loss.
