Obituary for Margaret D. Snyder
Margaret Diriwachter Snyder, 88, of East Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
Born on February 15, 1930, she was the daughter of Frederick and Margaret Diriwachter.
Margaret married her husband, Richard Snyder, on November 1, 1952. In 1968, she became the founder and owner, with her husband, of Arrowhead Golf Course. Her quick wit was a daily presence at the pro shop, and her smile was as beautiful as the flowerbeds. She was constantly weeding.
She was an active alumni of East Syracuse Class of 1948 and was a member of the St. Stephen Lutheran Church.
She is predeceased by her parents, son, brother and sister.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Richard H. Snyder; daughters, Dale Marie (Nicholas) Henry and Kathleen (Richard) Osborne; grandchildren, Stephen, Kathryn, Rebecca, Nicole, Danielle and Richie; great-grandchildren, Jase, Annilyn, Jaxon, and Jamison; and brother, Richard Diriwachter.
Calling hours will be Saturday, December 8 from 3 to 6pm at the R.H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Road, Minoa. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 6pm. A burial will be made at 10 am in Collamer Cemetery on Sunday.
