Obituary for Mary A. Maher
Mary Maher, 87, of DeWitt, passed away after a short illness. Born in Homer, Mary received her Bachelors degree from SUNY Cortland. She was a school teacher and retired from the North Syracuse Central School District. She was a former parishioner of St. John XXIII Church in Liverpool and St. Patrick’s Church in Truxton.
Mary is survived by her sister, Kathleen Davidson; brothers, John, Vincent, Bernard (Margaret) and Dr. Thomas (Kathy); brother-in-law, Richard Holl; 41 nieces and nephews; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Joseph, James and Francis and sisters, Therese Maher and Helen Holl
The family wishes to thank everyone at The Oaks and Holy Cross Parish for their friendship and kindness.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Holy Cross Church, 4112 E. Genesee St., DeWitt. The funeral Mass will follow the calling hour. Burial will be at 10:00 am on Monday, February 11, 2019 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Cortland.
