Thomas J. Wassel, 77, of Manlius passed away unexpectedly on January 28, 2019. He was a sales representative for various companies throughout his career. He was a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Manlius. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed puzzles and garage sales and loved reading and learning.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Bonnie; children, John (Mary) of Maryland, Cathleen (Bob) Ames of Binghamton and Melissa (Stan) Cadwell of Cazenovia; grandchildren, Andrew (Shania) Cadwell, Alexander Cadwell, Christopher Ames, Daniel Ames, Jeffrey Ames, Thomas Wassel and Kaitlyn Wassel; sisters, Judy Jenisek and Jean Wassel; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Larry Wassel.

The funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Ann’s Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius. Burial will be in Manlius Village Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels (MOWEOC), P.O. Box 72, Manlius, NY 13104.
