Obituary for Nora Viola Whaley
Nora V. Whaley, 74 of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully Sunday. Nora was born in Rome, NY the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth McQuade. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Church, Syracuse Right to Life Association and The Syracuse Marian Center.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and anticipating future blessings.
Nora is predeceased by her husband of 43 years Floyd C. Whaley.
Surviving are her daughters, Melissa Anne (Fredrick) Watkins, Ann Whaley; grandchildren, Amanda (Joshua) Jackson, Jessica (Robert) Liadka, Christopher (Genevieve), David, Brianna, Daniel and Andrew Hollis; great-grandchildren; Ryan and Levi Jackson, Robert Liadka; sisters, Agnes (John) Smoot, Danielle (Benjamin) Cubacha; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-7 at R. H. Schepp & Son Minoa Chapel, 6530 Schepp’s Corners Rd. Minoa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, Minoa. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Minoa.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to; St. Mary’s Church, 401 N. Main St. Minoa, 13116.
