Peter Charles Touchette, 83, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on January 26 from chronic health problems. His gentle soul and deep faith upheld him to the end.

Peter graduated from Nottingham High School and LeMoyne College. He also served in the U.S. Army. He was a sports fan, especially of the Syracuse Basketball team and of the New England Patriots. For many years he volunteered at Unity Kitchen and Unity Acres. He loved his family, the outdoors, fishing on Lake Ontario, and skiing at the Tug Hill Plateau.

Peter was predeceased by his parents, Pierre and Elizabeth; brother, Thomas; sister-in-law, Evelyn; brother-in-law, Milo; niece, Anne; and nephews, Michael and Thomas.

Peter is survived by his daughter, Susan (Tim) Hansen; brothers, John Touchette, Paul (Carolyn) Touchette, Michael (Temple) Touchette; sister Mary-Ellen (Touchette) Tomanovich; sister-in-law, Mary Touchette; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at St. Ann’s Church, 104 Academy St., Manlius. Spring burial will be in Manlius Village Cemetery.
