Obituary for Thomas I. Osborn MD

Thomas I. Osborn MD, 81, of Manlius, passed away peacefully after a short illness with his family by his side. He was born in Watertown and graduated from Watertown High school in 1955, RPI with a BS in 1959, received his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering in 1964 and obtained his professional engineers license and graduated from Upstate Medical Center in 1972. He practiced as a family physician in Cazenovia and Fayetteville from 1975 to 2017.

Tom ‘s favorite passion was his grandchildren; he attended all their sports and activities. He and his family spent their summers at Knobby Knoll, Sackets Harbor.

He was a member of both DeWitt Community Church and the United Methodist Church of Fayetteville.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sharon Burdick Osborn; five children and their families, daughter, Kimberly Osborn Rhodes (Mark), Christopher and Amanda (Andrew) Arnold; son, Kevin Burdick Osborn (Chrissie), Kendra (Patrick) Delaney, Brittany, and Robert; daughter, Kendra Osborn Casey (Dan), Neal (Elizabeth), Heather, and Nathan; son, Kyle Thomas Osborn (Kelly), Thomas, Randall, Sarah, and Michelle; daughter, Katherine Osborn Casey (Matthew), Jacob and Hannah; nephew, Greene Family, Daniel, Laura, Morgan, Avery, Carter, Maggie and Charlie; brother, Donald Eugene Osborn; and Scott; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday, January 10th at Eaton-Tubbs Fayetteville Chapel, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, January 11th at the United Methodist Church of Fayetteville, 601 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A reception will follow the service. Spring burial will be in Sackets Harbor.
