Obituary for William I. McFetridge

William I. McFetridge, 87, of Fabius, passed away at home on Saturday morning, December 8, 2018 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Glen Cove on September 22, 1931, he was the son of Campbell and Magna McFetridge. William served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

Bill was a contractor for many years. He was a collector of antique boats, cars and airplanes. He was a pilot and taught many how to fly also teaching many to ski at Toggenburg. Bill enjoyed his farm and animals especially his horse, dogs and cats. His greatest joy and love was when he was with his family.

He is predeceased by his parents and his cousins Alfie, Jimmy and Eileen.

Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Anne; daughter, Tracy (Edwin) Freeborn; granddaughter, Jane Freeborn; niece, Laurie Stafford; nephew, Robert (Kim) Stafford; and cousin, Virginia Schibler.

Calling hours will be Saturday, December 15, from 1 to 2:30 pm at the Newell-Fay Manlius Chapel, 8171 Cazenovia Road, Manlius. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2:30pm. A spring burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fabius.
