Renting a room from Emmamaria's Mother when I was in graduate school in 1988 gave me more than a roof over my head it also gave me an Oma and a second set of parents in The Street's whom I have called for 30 years Mother II and Father II. Although we never lived in the same city at the same times we enjoyed visits with each other in Pennsylvania and New York. I remember sending a bottle to their hotel room once before they were to set sail for Europe, investigating the canal systems on one trip to New York, having Father II reassure me that I could drive safely back to Philadelphia when it snowed overnight on one of my weekend trips and he was right on another trip I helped Mother II gather grape vines to make wreaths. No matter what I felt loved and respected by the second set of parents God led me to and it all came about because Oma needed a housemate. I miss you daily but cherish the memories!!! Dear Ed.
I was saddened to hear of Maria's passing. I know it's been a long time since I saw either of you. I will always remember her as this ray of bubbly sunshine whenever she came to WR to share her cat stories with me. May she rest in peace with all of the animals she helped that have also passed. My thoughts are with you.

Bill and I also offer our deepest condolences to Ed.

Bill and I also offer our deepest condolences to Ed and all of Maria's friends and many connections she made while living upstate. We were introduced to the Street's in the summer of 1995 from the Traugott's as we live on Pompey Hollow Road. I will always remember Maria's smiling, kind face, and also, as the cat and candle lady. Rest in peace Dear Lady.
